A hot pack or otherwise known as a heating pack is a tool used by people all over the planet to effectively and inexpensively apply heat therapy to the body. Heat therapy is widely used as a form of healing treatment because it is natural, safe, inexpensive and can be done in the privacy of the home.
Heat heals lagging injuries on the body because it expands the blood vessels and increases blood flow to the heated area bringing oxygen and nutrients to the soft tissue. The most common ailments heat therapy helps include tension headaches, neck pain, back pain, muscle soreness and muscle spasms. When applying heat to the body with a hot pack beware that one can burn the body resulting in more injury so only apply heat as it is comfortable.
Many products on the market exist as a heat applicator. Heating pads, packs and hot packs are sold in grocery stores, health stores, drug stores and more. Some are filled with chemicals and some are natural. Some are reusable and some are disposable. Some are filled with hot water and some are electric. All of these products apply the heat differently. Some apply and more deep moist variety where others apply a more shallow dry heat.
Natural hot pack products are popping up. These products are sustainable, biodegradable and safe for the consumer and environment. One brand called Thermal-Aid fills its natural hot packs with degerminated corn. The corn goes through a patented process where it is degerminated and dried making it hold more heat than any other all natural product. Thermal-Aid is simple, effective and most importantly safe.
